The Saints had the game date against Nautico valid for the 11th round of the Championship, as amended by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF). The entity that organizes the national competition anticipated match, which would be held on August 4, to July 17, at 21 pm (EST), in Belmiro. With that, the Saints will not suffer the problems to play friendly with Barcelona (Spain), scheduled for the next 2 days at the Camp Nou.
The change was a request from the board of Santos, which set the condition to make two friendlies against Barca, as a complement of the transaction that took striker Neymar to Catalonia. The bout will be valid for the Joan Gamper Trophy, traditional preseason tournament of the Spanish team.
Besides this confrontation at the home of the Catalans, there is also the possibility of receiving Alvinegros Barcelona in a friendly match in Brazil. However, there is no projected date nor the place of this meeting possible.
Remember that if the second friendly is not performed, regardless of the reason that prevents this game, the Saints will be entitled to receive 4.5 million euros (U.S. $ 13.4 million) as a penalty, according to what was established in the contract of sale for Barca.
